UK Partner Visa question

Hi all,
After I have completed my Master Study here in Germany,I have decided now to join my Fiancee in UK.Therefore I would like to apply for a Partner Visa for the purpose of getting married in UK with my fiancee who is an european and working in UK.
I am aiming to get the visa in December 2006 such that I can celebrate the new Year Eve with her there.
I have been already 3 times in UK but on Visitor Visa.Now I have my german visa which is valided until 31.01.2007.
My questions are following:
1)Have anyone applied for a Partner Visa before?If yes,can I get it with 2 months left for my german visa?
2)Is it easier to make wedding in UK?
3)Any advices so far?
