Hi Folks
We (Me and 4 year old daughter) have applied for family reunion visa for Germany. My husband is working in Munich. We are married since 7 years. We have attended visa interview in Chennai consulate on 6th Aug 2014. Interview went soothly, we have submitted all required documents. The neither asked  for any originals nor for ay fee to verify documents. Our documents are very correctly sufficient (Secured job to my husband, huaband blue card, Rent contract, I did PhD-so did not ask for German language certificate)

We went to Germany last year for 2 months  (Aug-Oct 2013) on visiting/short term visa.

We booked our tickets exactly after 8 weeks of interview. As my we want to be together on our daughters birthday (Oct 8th)

 I have 2 questions:

1. Till now (6th week since interview) me or my husband did not get any email. Do German Immigration authorities compulsarily ask my husband to appear before them or is it possible that I get an acceptance mail directly.
2. How much chance is there to get visa stamping before 8 weeks in my case.

Please give your inputs regarding this.

does not matter

no... has ur husband received a letter asking for salary slips, rent contract ?

2. How much chance is there to get visa stamping before 8 weeks in my case.

8 weeks seems to be very optimistic . . Chennai consulate is very slow they may wake up after few weeks and ask for marriage certificate verification... Within 12 weeks they are supposed to get back to you... Ur husband should enquire with Munich foreigners office now

Search on this forum for people who applied from Chennai

Good luck

Hello There,

As Cebit has already mentioned, Ask Your husband to check with the Foreigners Office in Munich.

8 weeks is so optimistic as far as Chennai Consulate is concerned. There have been cases of misplaced files, late intimation for Verification, etc. All these will be known only if Your husband visits the Foreigners Office.

That way, there will be better picture also available to You both.

BR,
Uday

@swarna

It does not help.  Your application will be treated only on par with any other application, assuming that you  did not voilate visitor visa terms (overstaying, no serious fines with the police)
