Hi

I have dependent visa as my husband is working in Munich.
We are living in Munich for 18 months and 3 month back, I got a job as Software Tester.
I started working here.
Is there anyway possible to change my dependent visa to work permit or to a Blue card or anytype of visa which will let me work here and is not dependent on my husband's visa?
If so let me know the procedure for the same.

Hello Advi,

          Please check your VISA stamp once. I got dependent VISA along with work VISA.

"Aufenthaltsanzeige Nach Einreise" which means - Employment allowed after entry -

aufenthalt is residence. it does not mean you are allowed to work

Thanks for the reply. With my current residence permit, when I checked at KVR, I was told by Immigrant officer that with my current residence permit, I can work without any prior aprroval or anything. My question here what is the procedure to convery my dependent work permit visa to individual work permit ot independent work permit?


BTW - It is mentioned as 'Aufenthal Tserlaubnis' in my residence card

You are allowed to work. As soon as you have contract in your hand, go to KVR and show them. They will do rest of the process. 'Aufenthaltserlaubnis' means Residence Permit. General work permits will still have this title with additional information on ‘Zusatzblatt’ with employer information and other restrictions.

 If your spouse is on Bluecard then as a dependent you can work with your existing work/residence permit.

Why do you want to change the workpermit independent of your spouse. Is ther any specific reason or advantage in doing so?
