Hi There.

I have a problem in extending my Visa. I was a student of FH Furtwangen. I had visa till 18th of May 2005. I completed my studies in September 2003, and for 9 months in 2004 I was out of Germany.

I came to Germany on 10th December 2004. From March 2005 to May 2005, I have done Praktikum in BOSCH Stuttgart.

I thougt I can extend my visa with a new rule- that for students after their studies, 1 year visa is being issued for JOB SEARCH.

I couldent get this visa for two reasons.

1. I came to Germany after 9 months,
2. I completed my studies in 2003.

So now they gave me a letter saying that I should leave the country within June 15th. I attendeed the Visa in Tuttlingen Visa Office.

So is there any source for me to extend my Visa?

Hi ,

I think you will not get this job suche visum as you have already completed your studies in 2003 and this new law might apply only to students who complete after 1st jan 2005.

Hai Swapna,

couple of my friends applied for the job search visa.I came to know from them that you could even apply for the visa irrespective of when you finished your course BUT the visa will issued for 1 year from the date of completion of the course.

A friend of mine finished the course by Nov 04 but he got ex-matriculated by Feb 05 and he went for the job search visa and he was given a 1 year visa starting from Nov 04 to Nov 05.

THIS IS THE CASE IN DARMSTADT.DIFFERENET AB HAS DIFFERENT RULES.

So, your visa is not getting extended in tuttlingen,

answer me these questions,

1. did the visa people ask you why were you out from germany,
A) if YES, What did you answer them
If NO, what did you answer them,

2.whats there on your visa as a student of FH-Furtwangen or any other university,

send in your reply ASAP, so that I can help you out in the ways I could,

Thanks for your reply.

They did not ask me, when did I leave the country, but they know from my Immigration stamps and my abmeldung.

I unregistered thinking that I will not come back to Germany. So they know the period of my stay in other country.

Hi ,

ok you have done your abmeldung when you are leaving,

tell them this reason,

if you are forever leaving the country,
1. you would apply for all the rentenversicherung
2. you would close down all the bank accounts

or even in this case if they dont get that done,

you have to obviuosly make your Anmeldung at another visa office ,

think of making your anmeldung at Heidelberg ,

reason behind change of anmeldung is it takes nearly atleast 2 months to get your papers to the new office,

almost everyone is gettin their extension on this reason in heidelberg..

a) they have completed their studies and can get visa for one year that will be given 2 times 6 months and 6 months
