hello all,
Last days, I called Standesamt to find out from when one can apply for citizenship. He said there came a new rule which says that 6 years of stay and german education are enough to apply for citizenship. Today I went personally for beratung and he said the same and gave me forms to fill and apply.

Does anybody have any idea about this?

As far as I know, it is 7 years plus B1 certificate required.

Looks like city office in your area lacks some information.

I have "Zertifikat Deutsch" and "Note 2"

Is this B2 or B1 ?

Zertifikat Deutsch is B1 and Note 2 is your marks percentage.

Has anyone received DE pass in the recent past or got any related experience.
Would be great if someone can share the latest happenings regarding the 6 year rules or the behaviour of the Amt.
What are the required docs while applying!
