I am living in Germany now just a bit more than 5 yeras, and recently I changed my job. I was not aware to the fact that it would delay the reception of the Niederlassungserlaubnis by the duration of the probation time.

Suppose that I fill all the other requirements for receiving except to the one: 'Lebensunterhalt muss gesichert werden' (Which falls becuase of the probation time).

Can I show that my income is assured by my savings?

I am unmarried, no children, my occupation is on high demand. My savings allow me to live in Munich for around 8 years without working.

Can I convince the Ausländerbehörde with such an argument?
