We know that when you get married with a german citizen you get with it residence and work permit but my question is does he same thing apply to partnership?

Where can I find regulations concerning partnership with non-EU citizens?

No, ofcourse not.. Can you imagine what kind of chaos and abuse, would it cause ?

What is a partnership anyway ? How can you define a partnership ? what proves it to be partnership ? just look at it from the lawmakers perspective.. then you can imagine how difficult to implement such a scenario in a law.
Marriage is the only valid proof for a "partnership" emoticon

You would have to wait til I go back home, I've read something about that in a document given by the Government, but it seems feasible, if I remember well, they spoke about Gay things and all that, so check the thread later.

There is something called "Eingetragene Lebensgemeinschaft", and there was once a Lawsuit about some guy who had a same sex partner from another country to whom the AE was denied. He sued and was succesful.

Unfortunately the this 'Lebensgemeinschaft' is only for Homosexuals, if you are not, you still have to marry.

In comparison, in the UK, if you are a British Citizen, you can bring your girlfriend even if you are not married to her.

Yes lacrimo. NoB is right, sorry to contradict you

In Germany there is something called "Lebenspartnerschaft" that is exactly what is asking Paperscut3.

I´m not so sure is only for gays. Truly is complex to regulate but is already done. You have to prove you live together with somebody, I´m not sure if it´s via Notar or in the Rathaus and your partner have the same rights as your wife/man, even for the Krankenkasse.

Take a look:

Hi YO1,

from your link:

"sie müssen dem gleichen Geschlecht angehören"

Ok, so don't wait til I reach home then :-)

But this can gives trick: you got a good friend, not gay, you live with him, start claiming "n papers" that you are gay and live together, then you got your papers... and the story goes on...
