I think this amount can be offset against ur taxable income. But you will need to confirm it with a tax consultant.

can u explain the term "offset " more clearly .. and what abt loans do you have any idea..as such.
Actually i heard that you do not get any benefit if u are already earning .I am really confused.

I came across this tax-benefits from a few MBA websites of german universities, so i am not 100% sure about this educational expenses, also there may be a limit on how much u can claim. It is better to consult your tax-consultant who can confirm whether it is true or not.


What i mean by offset is like this,

Your Netto salary = 10,000 Euros per year
-------------------------------------------
Taxable income = 10,000 Euros.


Now if u do a parttime course for 2,000 Euros.

Your Netto Salary = 10,000 Euros (- minus)
Course Expenses = 2,000 Euros
----------------------------------------
Taxable income = 8,000 Euros.
