I really never understood what they really meant by this sentence ".. die Laufzeit dieser Greencard ... erst mal fünf Jahre beträgt, aber nicht auf diese fünf Jahre beschränkt ist", "amounting to 5 years but not limited to 5 years", can some1 really explain this to me, because their word-playing is somehow misleading for me.

But after 5 years people can apply for another type of residence permission.

But GC holder can apply for normal work permit after 60 months of work (condition is salary min. 84000 EUR).
