First 2 years I was a student. Then I found a job and got a working permission (first for 1 year). My question is whether I can visit schengen states and Switzerland on this visa or not. If your resident permit titel says Aufenthaltserlaubnis/Aufenthaltsgenehmigung/Niederlassungserlaubnis; then you can visit schengen states and also switzerland.

If you have a visa from one of the Schengen countries, you can travel in all the others, unless specified otherwise. For Switzerland, you have to have a visa of at least 3 years valid when you are not member of the EU (can't remember where I read that one a couple of years ago). D.
