Dear Gurus,

I am in Germany with company dependent Workpermit since November 2005. I decided to change my company and signed a contract with another one. My new contract is only for 2 months but it can be extended.

Do I need to go Auslanderboherde and apply for a new stamp? How long does it take to change my existing workpermit with new one?

If you give me some feedback I will be really appreciated.

Yes you have to go to the AB and apply for a new permit. Time taken depends on the AB and goes betweens days to weeks. No one can say the exact period. Ask the company to speak with AB to speed up the process. And most important dont start working with the new company until you get the WP.
