Any idea how long does it take with security checks done by Frankfurt Ausländerbehörde for NE applications ?

It could take 2 to 3 months...

the officer at Frankfurt ABH told me it takes normally 4 to 6 weeks but also it may take up to 6 months :/

...so any recent experiences with Frankfurt or surrounding Hessen ABHs ?

4 to 6 weeks is their most lowest limit and 6 months most upper, thats why i told u the average time u should consider.

It took only less than three weeks in my case ! (in Bayern)

Things are getting only better(!) with Frankfurt. I found this one below telling a waiting time of 6 to 9 months possible at official Frankfurt city website.

It also says that mayor of Frankfurt herself sent a letter(08.07.2005) to Hessen minister of interior asking on how to decrease the waiting time, but no answer yet.

One of my questions here is, what happens if I lose my job after 5 years of working but with Fiktionsbescheinigung(which they will give me at the end of 5 years) at 5 years+1 month mark ?

...also is it possible to change jobs at this period ? I have 25 days left for finishing the 5 years. Any similar experience ?
