Birth Certificate Name

Hi,

While applying for the Einbürgerungs, the officer is asking for the Birth Certificate. This is no problem but the name on my Birth Certificate is Nick name and my original name as per passport is different. Passport was easy as they asked for Xth & XIIth Certificate and used the name from there.

Tried contacting the authority in India who made the certificate but they say whatever name is in the register, they will issue the certificate with that name only. After contacting the Indian Embassy here in Germany, they issued one Affidavit (written and signed by me) and verified by the Embassy officer. This affidavit is also not acceptable by German Authorities as it is not the Namesänderung Bescheiniung issued by Indian Embassy.

Anyone faced the similar problem? Suggestions please.
