I recently received a BE Visa which allows change of employers.

I am considering nidependent consulting or starting a company. It looks like that this requires and EG visa.

Can someone explain what are the requirements to be fulfilled to get an EG visa? Is there a relevent Law / Section available that could be quoted?

I have checked the site but could not find clear information on EG.

There is no special clause on starting a freelancer or Ich AG or your own company. Normally you should get it without any hassles. You can go to the Auslanderbehörde to change your status to EG. You can tell them that you want to work as a Freiberufler as you are an Expert Engineer. It should work! Gruß MK
