Dear Friends and Experts,
I have received the Approval Email for my Employment Visa and will submit passport for stamping by asap. I understand it can take about a week for the stamping to be done. But once I receive the VISA, is there a time limit within which I must enter the country? Or is it just that I should enter the country before the VISA expiry date?Kindly advise.
(Note: The approval email I received states to buy travel insurance for a month to get the stamping done..)

You can enter the country before the expiry of the visa. 

If you are planning to enter after sometime, you would have submitted your passport after 2 weeks time!!!!!!!!!! so that the visa timing will be from the date of submission.

Yes you need to submit travel insurance from the date of travel for 3 months.

As I mentioned I have not yet submitted passport for stamping and was planning to delay for a week or two ... as you have mentioned!
But anyway do you have any idea on the duration of the VISA granted? Generally for typical Schengen short term visa like tourist or visitor visa it is 3 months. But for employment visa?

All visas are 3months only. Only long term visa can be extended after the arrival.
So same for your case too.

Depends upon te centre from which you are applying.
My employment visa, applied from Kolkata, was granted for 3 months only.
My friend's, also employment visa, applied from Chennai, was granted for 6 months.
