Dear Friends and Trust7 board,

I finally got NE along with Daueraufenthalt-EG here in Bonn. Feeling so happy & relaxed at the same time .

Million THANX to all of you for this wonderful website and services you provide. Getting NE + Daueraufenthalt-EG was next to impossible without you all. Its YOU people who suggested me what to do, how to tackle the people at Ausländerbehörde, how to react there etc. etc.

Well, I'll share my experience. I went today morning where the same lady (Thanx Godddd! her mood was very good today!) asked me first of all to present my latest Salary slip (from Jan.2007). She had a look and only God knows what did she entered into PC?? Then she (with a hugggeee smile on her face) asked me can you tell me the names of the 16 German States? and shhhiitttt! I could answer only 9. I requested her to name the remaining 7. But she could answer/name only 5 ;) hihihi ;) Further she did not asked anything (i noticed she felt very embarrasing here ) and simply affixed/stucked the label on my Passport!

Gosshh!! I applied for it on 23rd Jan and exactly after a month today i got it! Bonn is good & fast i suppose ;)

Well guys, anyone going for their respective NE/D-EG appointments, pls refer to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Germany (in english) or http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deutschland (in german) these sites ATLEAST ONCE just to have some basic idea about Germany.

congratulations with your new status!

Can you write down here please what it is written on the stick pasted into your passport? The correct phrase? We want to know for which parts of the law you have got this permit.

Edit:
In Austria, this Daueraufenthalt-EG is valid only 5 years. Every 5 years it must be lengthened. It seems that Germany gives better Daueraufenthalt-EG than Austria:

In normal NE wrt. $51 of AufenthG, you could not leave Germany for longer than 6 months. Now with Daueraufenthalt-EG (*), you cannot leave EU longer than 12 consecutive months. It is definitely better.
