How can i change my family visa to student visa?

I am living in germany for the last one year on a
family visa-familienzusammenführung.I donot have a workpermit.I have a 'aufenthaltserlaubnis' till february 2005.I can extend the 'aufenthaltserlaubnis' after that since my husband has a residence permit till October.My husband is working in Germany for last 4 years.

My doubt is,should i apply for student visa from India(my home country) or from Germany after receiving admission letter from university.
