On the 26th of October was the first consultation in the Bundestag on a proposal from the Greens to simplify the citizenship law (Staatsangehörigkeitsgesetz).

The proposal seeks to:
- eliminate the option model where a person has to choose between the german and other citizenship at the age of 18.
- considerably reduce the conditions necessary for qualifying.
- allow double citizenship

I intend to apply next year(7 years) with family.

It would be nice if some sort of discussion is made available in this regard.
