Hello Friends,

I just had a quick question. Is is that the Beschäftigungs Erlaubnis (BE) is granted or issued only at the time of Visa Extension?
Since my current work permit is valid till October, can I still go to Ausländerbehörde next week and ask them to grant me BE since I qualify for the same and need not wait till October for my work permit extension?

Just to confirm:

1) I have been living now in Germany for 5 years and 4 months.
2) I have studied here (Master studies) for 3 years from October 2002 till 2005.
3) Then since 2006 I have been employed and been working now for over 2 years and 1 month and paid my tax.

So, after reading the requirements, I guess I pretty much qualify for the same or?
