I've received an unlimited contract from German Employer for Software developer post in embedded automotive, and they don't have any office in my country. They are asking me to procure visa/work permit/residence permit or whatever it takes to work in Germany on my own .

German Embassy in my country is offering a temporary 90 days residence and work permit. I've to get long term permit after arriving in Germany. Somebody in forum told me that, only 1 year extension to this temporary permit will be granted. Is it correct? Do I've to keep renewing visa after every year? Does it mean that I've to go through the labor-market-check every year even if I work for the same company? What is possibility of getting extension to 90days visa rejected?

Please somebody help me...

if you already receive a kind of invitation from your employer and a kind of preliminary work-permit then very low. (the name of the prelimary work-permit was during the greencard time "Zusicherung der Arbeitserlaubnis" )

I've further query, as per residence act I can get permanent settlement permit (section 19, 2.3)
(Specialists and executive personnel with special professional experience who
receive a salary corresponding to at least twice the earnings ceiling of the
statutory health insurance scheme.)

Can anybody tell me, what is the figure of salary required to satisfy this clause?

I think I've to go as suggested by you. As you said for first year, there will not be much problem, but I'll have to miss sleep of nights during end of each year. What is possibility of getting visa rejected at end of each year? Residence act says I can get residence and work permit for max 3years. Can't I simply ask for that?
