Hi all,

My wife arrived in Germany on dependent visa 2 weeks ago. We will go for her Visa extension next week.

My visa status is following:
Art des Titels: Aufenthaltserlaubnis
Anmerkung: §18 Abs.4 S.1 AufenthG, “Erwerbstätigkeit gestattet”
Valid till: July 2012

As I hold “Erwerbstätigkeit gestattet”, my wife should also receive the “Erwerbstätigkeit gestattet“ status?

Is there any description regarding above in AufenthG or other documents?

Any help will be highly appreciated.

I too had "Erwerbstätigkeit gestattet" and my wife got the same

Yes, she should receive the same visa but in our case the ABH person recommended German course to my wife strongly before start working, but it was not mandatory.
