Hello experts,

I have a question about arbietlosgeld. I heard and one is eligible for receiving arbietlosgeld if he or she is fired from the current employment.(provided he or she is in gainfull employment and paid his or her AV for atleast 12 months)

Now I also heard that if one resigns he or she will not be eligible for arbietlosgeld for 3 months.

Now my question is what if a person is in a time limited employment contract and does not get a extension. Here neither the company is firing him nor he is resigning. What happens in this case is of intrest to me.
