In one of my former posts on Blue Card, I quoted the law change passed by the Bundestag. One clause here foresees that no more instant Niederlassungserlaubnis für Hochqualifizierte §19 will be issued for specialists and managerial jobs once the law is passed.

I would suggest people who earn more than approx. 67K and do a qualified job to apply immediately for the NIederlassungserlaubnis before the law gets changed.

Dont you think they must have frozen the acceptance of new applications in view of the introduction of the blue card which should happen any time soon?

My thinking doesnt matter but I believe if Germans were so fast .....

I am new to this forum - was following almost every thread on getting the NE. Please pardon me if this is the wrong thread i am posting to...

I did my Dr degree in germany, then left germany for another EU country (to work) and came back to germany after 5 years in 2011. I work at a company with salary of 120k. I was talking to the ALB guy casually if there exists a way for me to get the NE (wenn es geht)...He mentioned i might want to apply for the NE for highly qualified people..I said sure i would like to try..

So he asked me for a letter from my company, i gave it to him, with a copy of my phd certificate. After 2 weeks i got a letter telling me that i got it..

I assume that the instant Niederlassungserlaubnis für Hochqualifizierte rule is getting expired by 31st July 2012. I applied for my Niederlassungserlaubnis für Hochqualifizierte on 18th July 2012. Can you please clarify the following doubts?

1. If the rule expires on 31st July 2012, am i still eligible for my Niederlassungserlaubnis since i applied on 18th July 2012.
2. How many days will it take to get the response from ABH?  Will I be informed only by postal mail?  What is the process after getting the approval?
3. I do not know German. The ABH office said Nein to English. So i do not know what she wanted to communicate with me. I can only understand from her body language that she is ok with my application (and said Alles la also) and filed the application documents in my file.
4. ABH office did not ask me to pay any fee.  Should i need to pay only after getting the approval?

Please guide me if you have any idea on this.

Did you get Niederlassungerlaubnis?
How much time did it take to get reasponse after you submitted your application?
