Hello all,

does anybody know is the kindergeld possiable before my family gets a visa.
I am a Canadian citisen and I have recived a blue card 6 months ago and my wife and new born baby will apply for visa from abroad to come and join me in Germany.  The baby was born abroad
My questions is if it is possiable for me to apply for kindergeld before my family has gotten the visa and has register of place of stay in Germany with me as they will apply for visa and come visit me on a 3 months as toursits and go back to get the visa troughout the German Ambassy abroad?
Does anybody have any experiance on this?

Its not possible. Requirement for Kindergeld is you should be paying into the German Tax and the baby has to be registered.
