Where to apply indian E-Tourist visa and how long does it take?

Hi,

I have spent considerable amount of time in finding out the time it will take to get an indian tourist visa when applied through online and could not find much information. So I thought of sharing my experience since this may help any one in need.

I have been forwarded to the following link from indian embassy berlin website-
https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html

time to process the application: less than a day. I have applied on 28th june night and got it on 29th june afternoon.
