Marriage certificate during Anmeldung

Hi all,

I just got to Germany yesterday. I am married but my wife is still in India. Now, I have mentioned that I am married on my anmeldung form as I don't want any hassles in the future when my wife applies for her spouse visa. My question is - do I need to provide the marriage certificate translated in German even during the Anmeldung process? Has anyone been through a similar situation?

Any help will be appreciated.

Hi, When I did the anmeldung 6 months back, I was asked to show the marriage registration certificate(which was in English). They did not asked me for the translated version.
