Hi everyone,

I got my Niederlasunserlaubnis!

I have a qusetion :
Is it allowed to fly to other countries of Shengen without visa. I mean if i want to spend my holidays in Italy or Austria, do i need extra visa for that ?

No. You can travel to any Schengen state. With Niederlassungserlaubnis you are now a permanent resident of Germany. All else remains same

Hi strangerules,

I also thought so. I went to immigraton office, to information desk and asked them . They said : No, you can not. Sometimes they don't know exactly and prefer to reply just NO.

Thats is why i confuse, i were sure, that i can go. Whom should i ask now ?

Dear Nika25,

After I had the Niederlassungserlaubnis, I have travelled all over Europe without visa. From Czech to Italy, to Netherlands. No fuss... Am not sure if they immigration office understood you well.
