Dear Trust7 community members,

I hope you all will be fine. I'm expecting to learn from you guys about the topic that I am introducing to the discussion.
I've been happily married to a German since two years. And it's more than five years since I came to Germany (Thanks to the great people for making me feel at home!). I have passed German language course (B1) and Einbürgerungstest. Currently, I and my spouse are working full time.
I am interested in getting German Citizenship. Please let me know;
1. which documents are required?
2. how much time it (whole process) takes?

I wanted to get info from Trust7 forum before visiting ABH.
Please share your knowledge / experience.

Thanks!
Kind regards

Thanks for the response.

in Hessen you qualify for citizenship application after 7 years of stay with B1, as the study time here is 100% counted. But in BW as far as i know they count half of the study time for citizenship, the best way is to simply visit your Einbüergerungsbehörde and politely ask them.

Good luch and keep us posted.

Best regards,
raj++

P.S. this is not a legal advice

I think you qualify to apply for Citizenship as per Naturalisation Law §9 married to a German citizen. Do contact your local Einbüergerungsbehörde (EBH) for accurate eligibilty and further application processing. Good luck.

P.S: You need to visit Einbüergerungsbehörde not Ausländerbehörde !

Thanks all for your efforts in sharing your knowledge!
I visited "Einbürgerungs Büro". Now, I've received all required information and application forms.
