RE: Q : House deregistration and visa expiry problem

Toggle
I am working in Germany on EU blue card which is valid till 2016. I believe with this visa I can stay outside Europe for 12 consecutive months.
I am planning to stay for 11 months outside of Europe. (Elternzeit time).
If I deregister my house in between then will my visa expire? Can I re-enter Germany on the same EU blue card?

Within 6 months if you return no questions asked. It's true that on EU blue card one can stay up to 12 months outside. However, it is recommended to take a permission/acceptance from local foreign office at first place.  All the best and enjoy your Elternzeit.
