Dear All,
I wanted to invite my parents, from India, for 3 months duration. My parents were scheduled to visit us in February but I was going to India so I took Verpflichtungserklärung on 10th October 2012. Now, the original copy is with them in India. My query is regarding the validity of Verpflichtungserklärung. Someone said that the document is valid only for 3 months that means after obtaining this document we have to apply within 3 months. So does this mean that the last day of applying for visa was 10th Jan? Do I need to get a new Verpflichtungserklärung and send it by post?
So could anyone of you please shed some light on this?

PS: In the meantime, I got PR and my visa number got changed but I believe this does not affect.

I found information regarding my question later and it is depedent of the embassy. Except German embassy in Bangalore all the embassies need verpflichtungserklaerung to be submitted within 3 months of receiving it from Rathaus.
