I have been in germany from 25th may 2009 as post doctoral researchere working at university.
In last 6 months due to the finitial problem in the Lab , I have 50% TVL contract.
I have appllied before for a grant application which I got rejection from DFG yesterday.(
Now, I am searchin for job but it seems that it take more than 2 months to find the new job and my visa will be ended at 30 march 2012.
Is there any way to prolong it for 2-3 months?
any way  can help even registering the german course or ...!
any idea?
My Phd is not from German university.
My field is mathematics.
Does  a laweyer can help me in this situation?

What permit(s) have you had?

I came to germany with employment visa.
They have written the name of university in my visa.

If you've been directly employed with the university since 2009, you should go to your local ABH ASAP to apply for an open work permit under §3 BeschVerfV.

I know, I can apply for that but it does not mean they allow me to stay at germany more than end of march with out job even if I show I am finantiallly secure.
It just allows me , if I would find job by the end of march , I can get visa without going out of germany!

Forget freelancing. It is not really a plausible option for a mathematician. The ABH can (but doesn't have to) issue you a permit to stay and continue looking for a job.

I am thinking, claiming that I want to use my computer knowladge  since I am applied mathematician ?!!
I have A2 Certificate , I can understand but I can not really say more than basic things! registering in a german course can improve my chance to get a visa to stay a bit more?
