Hello all,

I am an Indian living in Germany. I got NE recently. I will be marrying soon and I want to bring my wife Germany.

Is there anything which I can do in advance so that I can speed up my process.

The only thing you can do in advance to speed up your process is to send an invitation card to german embassy in India so that they can send a detective to witness your wedding. Ofcourse you have to pay for this detective, which is around 400 Euro :-)

Do a registered marriage first. Because marriage certificate is important for the visa. Do a german translation and get it attested before submiting to the embassy. Take your marriage photos for applying for the visa. with luck you dont need the detective thing. But u need atleast 8 weeks minimum to get the visa from the time u apply in the embassy.
